This is why I spend the first part of the consultation taking a full case history and create an individualized treatment plan for you. I can then give you tips to improve your long-term health to use after you leave the treatment.
The colonic irrigation session lasts 60 - 90 minutes, during which I provide a guided breathing and meditation exercise to encourage relaxation.
Once the treatment is finished, it takes just a few minutes to recover, and then you will be able to leave straightaway.

As part of the initial consultation I take a full and detailed case history of the symptoms you are presenting with currently, plus the illnesses you have suffered from previously, including your family history.
As a Naturopath, I fully analyse your case. I look at your body as a whole, dealing with the root cause of your health challenges to create an individualised treatment plan, so I can help bring your body back into optimal health and balance.
The first consultation and treatment takes between 60 to 90 minutes. During the colonic procedure I will talk you through breathing techniques to help you feel comfortable and at a peace, as well as to relax your colon, to stimulate the release of stored matter.
Massage oil is also applied to your abdomen to help with deep abdominal massage in order to dislodge and remove trapped faecal matter and gas. I also use guided meditation to deepen the relaxation and help improve mental wellbeing.
During the colonic, water will be gently introduced into the colon via the rectum. This is done slowly and safely always at your own pace so that you feel comfortable. I am with you the throughout the whole treatment, explaining what is happening inside your body, so that you can be reassured should you have any questions. Your modesty is preserved at all times.
This treatment can also indicate the presence of parasites, whether you have difficulty in breaking down certain proteins and carbohydrates, or whether too much mucus is being produced.
Highest standards of hygiene are always complied with.
Rubber gloves are worn throughout the treatment and you can be assured that only disposable equipment is used.
